Heritage and Modernity in Contemporary Sơn Mài
Through the work of two women artists from different generations—master artist Ho Thi Xuan Thu and her apprentice, artist Mai Thi Kim Uyen—this exhibition traces the evolving visual and emotional landscape of Vietnamese womanhood. The two artists are using lacquer as both a medium of cultural inheritance and a living language of contemporary expression.
