What is lacquer art, and why is it special?
+

Vietnamese lacquer art (sơn mài) is an ancient craft using the refined resin of the Rhus succedanea tree. Artists apply dozens of layers — each cured for 24 hours — then sand and polish the surface to reveal extraordinary depth, luminosity, and colour. Unlike any other medium, lacquer changes character with light, appearing almost to glow from within.

Are all works authentic and certified?
+

Yes. Every work in our collection comes with a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity from the artist, full provenance documentation, and our gallery verification seal. We work exclusively with master artists and their verified studios.

Do you ship internationally?
+

Yes, we ship worldwide. All works are carefully packed by specialist art handlers and shipped fully insured. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are provided at checkout. For very large works, we offer white-glove delivery service.

Can I commission a custom lacquer piece?
+

Absolutely. We facilitate bespoke commissions with several of our represented artists. The process typically takes 3–6 months depending on complexity. Please contact us with your concept, dimensions, and budget for an initial consultation.

What payment methods do you accept?
+

We accept all major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and PayPal. For works over $5,000, we also offer instalment payment plans. All transactions are processed securely.

What is your return policy?
+

We offer a 14-day return policy for works that arrive damaged or significantly different from their description. Due to the unique nature of original art, all sales are final unless the work is damaged in transit. Please contact us within 48 hours of receipt if there is any issue.

How should I care for my lacquer work?
+

Lacquer is one of the most durable art media in existence — properly cared for, works can last thousands of years. Keep pieces away from direct sunlight and extreme humidity changes. Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. We provide full care instructions with every purchase.

Can I visit the gallery in person?
+
